Designing Web Comics
Explore the ins and outs of web comics with Scott Kurtz, whose web comic Player vs. Player has over 150,000 daily readers and won the 2006 Eisner Award for Best Digital Comic.

SATURDAY, MARCH 6 ● 10–11:30am
Developing Stories and Storyboards
Join Pixar story artist Rob Gibbs of Up, WallE, Cars, Finding Nemo, Monsters, Inc., and other features to discuss developing stories and creating story boards. Gibbs has also co-directed several Pixar short films, including seven Mater’s Tall Tales.

SATURDAY, APRIL 17 ● 10–11:30am
Cartooning is Serious Business
Harvey Award-winning cartoonist Keith Knight explores the business side of indie cartooning, including self-publishing, syndication vs. self-syndication, being a web cartoonist, and more. Knight’s comics, which include the Knight Life, K Chronicles and (th)ink are read world-wide and have been collected in eight books.

SUNDAY, APRIL 25 ● 10–11:30am
Humor Writing for Comics
Join cartoonist and cartoon historian Brian Walker to explore the art of writing for comics. Since 1984 Walker has written for Hi and Lois and Beetle Bailey, in addition to his own books about cartooning and comic art.

● Class size is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cost per class: $32 members & $40 non-members.

Cancellation/Refund Policy
If you need to cancel a class, please let us know as soon as possible. If you cancel a class with more than a 24–hour notice, the Museum will provide you with either a full credit for a future class or with a refund minus a processing fee. We cannot provide any refunds or credits for classes cancelled with less than a 24–hour notice.
