| Basic Schulz Museum Tour |
The Basic Schulz Museum Tour is built around the Charles M. Schulz Museum's mission to preserve, display, and interpret the art of Charles M. Schulz. The Peanuts Cartoon Strip Collection is the heart and soul of the Schulz Museum. Numbering over 7,000 drawings for daily and Sunday pages, the Museum’s collection represents a wide breadth of Schulz’s thematic work from 1950 to 2000. Also included in this collection are several hundred preliminary sketches for Peanuts and nearly 400 Tribute Art pieces from cartoonists around the world, including get-well cards, retirement messages, and expressions of sympathy and cartoons published on May 27, 2000 to commemorate the life of Charles M. Schulz. The Museum also houses four permanent and temporary galleries with rotating exhibitions throughout the year.

| "A Day in the Life of Charles M. Schulz" Tour |
Join us for A Day in the Life of Charles M. Schulz as we re-live a typical day Schulz's life, or Sparky to his family and friends, and enjoy the sights and sounds of his beloved Ice Arena and the neighborhood he called home for over 30 years. Our tour begins at the Warm Puppy Cafe where your volunteer docent will provide an orientation to the day's activities, including a history of the Redwood Empire Ice Arena (a.k.a. Snoopy's Home Ice), a timeline of Sparky's Santa Rosa complex, and details of his regular daily routine.
Following Sparky's typical breakfast of English muffin, grape jelly, and a cup of tea at the Warm Puppy Café, your group will stroll around the grounds of the Ice Arena towards the center of Schulz's workday: his art and business studio. Hear in his own words the importance of his daily routine as you immerse yourself in the creative environment of his meticulously recreated Studio in the Schulz Museum. Your tour will then visit the Museum's Main Gallery to learn about the genius of Sparky's simple lines and marvel at the timelessness of the original strips on view. |
