In addition to our regular programming (see the Calendar of Events page for details), we periodically present special group activities and events, including Home School Days, Girl Scouts Days, Boy Scouts Days, and special guest presentations and lectures.

TUESDAY, MARCH 23 ● 9:30am–12noon
Home School Day: Take a Hike
Enjoy a morning of Beagle scouting with a variety of hands-on nature and science activities, including making a compass and map and experiencing some basic orienteering.
Cost: $5 per child. For an additional $5 per person, add ice skating to your day from 12–2pm at Snoopy’s Home Ice. Advance reservations required: (707) 284-1263.

Elderhostel/Exploritas Day of Discovery:
From Shakespeare to Schulz
Learn about the lives and works of two great artists, and see up-close how one inspired the other. Hear from Shakespeare scholar Michael Jensen about Shakespeare’s life and influence on popular culture. Charles Schulz’s son, Monte Schulz, will speak about his father’s love of literature and his own work, including his latest novel This Side of Jordan. Also go behind the scenes of the Schulz Museum’s collections and Research Center to see several original Peanuts strips inspired by Shakespeare.

Boy Scouts Day
Boy Scouts will enjoy an afternoon of hands-on activities at the Schulz Museum and ice skating at Snoopy’s Home Ice in support of their art and skating merit badges.
Cost: $10 per scout; $5 for adults who want to ice skate.
