The United States Air Force Band of the Golden West Commanders Jazz Ensemble will perform a FREE concert on Sunday, May 16th, 2010, at the ball field adjacent the Charles M. About the Commanders Jazz Ensemble
The Commanders Jazz Ensemble will feature a variety of styles spanning 100 years of ,azz, including music of the Swing Era, Dixie, Latin Jazz, and contemporary compositions of today's greatest jazz composers. The concert at the Schulz Museum will feature the music of Vince Guaraldi, whose extensive work helped to create the music associated with the Peanuts gang.

The United States Air Force Band of the Golden West is stationed at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, California.  As the only remaining active duty Air Force Band West of the Rockies, it serves the states of Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Idaho, and California.  The band has been seen by thousands in performances throughout its' touring region, while countless others all over the country have enjoyed the Band via numerous recordings.

About the Charles M. Schulz Museum & Research Center
The Charles M. Schulz Museum opened in August 2002 to fulfill its mission of preserving, displaying, and interpreting the art of Charles M. Schulz. The Museum carries out this mission through changing exhibitions and programming that build an understanding of cartoonists and cartoon art; illustrate the scope of Schulz’s multi-faceted career; communicate the stories, inspirations and influences of Charles Schulz; and celebrate the life of Charles Schulz and the Peanuts characters.
