and Art Director for Vivendi Games who creates mobile games. Rick also worked for Lord of the Rings Online,

NEW EXHIBITION ~ BEYOND WORDS
Beyond Words examines those over 75 Peanuts strips in which Charles Schulz dispensed with dialogue and used only “pictures” to tell the comic strip story. The strips in Beyond Words are designed to complement The Language of Lines: How Cartoonists Communicate, encouraging readers to make sense of the strips based on visual cues, iconography, and their knowledge of the Peanuts characters.

HOW TO DRAW PEANUTS
Learn to draw your favorite Peanuts character with cartoonist Alexis Fajardo, a Charles M. Schulz Creative Associates artist and creator of the comic series Kid Beowulf.

NEW EXHIBITION ~
THE LANGUAGE OF LINES: HOW CARTOONISTS COMMUNICATE
Much of what readers interpret from cartoon art is non–verbal: audiences largely take their cues from the language of symbols, a language they may not even realize they know. The Language of Lines explores the visual shorthand of comic art—symbols—and their meanings in Peanuts and other strips.

Come celebrate the opening of The Language of Lines with cartoonist and co-curator Brian Walker. Brian has curated over 65 cartoon exhibitions,
and since 1984 he has been part of the creative team that produces the comic strips Beetle Bailey and Hi and Lois. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served.

FIRST FRIDAY FILM SERIES OF CHARLES SCHULZ'S FAVORITE FILMS
Starring Robert Redford and Glenn Close, The Natural (1984) centers on Roy Hobbs, a young natural baseball player with a gift for the game. Hobbs is an up-and-coming pitcher who is capable of striking out anyone and everyone, until a tragic event sidelines him from the game. When Hobbs returns to the game as a 40 year old rookie, fresh out of the minor leagues, he becomes a star as a natural hitter, launching balls far into the stands.

Meet, watch, and talk to Tennessee cartoonist Kevin Williams, creator of Muley the Mule. Kevin is president of the Mid-South Cartoonists Association (MSCA).
Besides working with comics, Kevin is also a puppeteer who helps Muley co-host events for local charities, mostly the Ronald McDonald House of Memphis, where he is the Official SpokesMule.
