In the quilt, Snoopy is depicted in the Japanese countryside flying a kite. The Japanese have a special day for flying kites—May 5th, which is "Children's Day." The artist, Elizabeth Suzuki, remarks, “It was delightful to see some of my collection of kimono fabrics jump out and ask to be included in this quilt.”
